Writing has always been a part of who I am.
For as long as I can remember I’ve been putting pen to paper as a creative outlet. From the moment I achieved my first published work when I was 10 years old—a poem in an anthology of young writers—my dream was to tell stories. I’ve been fortunate to build a career doing what I love: After graduating from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s journalism school in 2011 and pursuing jobs in the publishing industry, I eventually became the editor-in-chief of two Atlanta-based magazines, JEZEBEL and Modern Luxury Weddings Atlanta. I’ve interviewed celebrities ranging from Reese Witherspoon to Ludacris, written features about some of the South’s top tastemakers, and collaborated with teams of talented writers, photographers, designers and stylists to create beautiful issues that captured the best of the city.
Writing has seen me through every phase of life, from post-grad internships at Oscar de la Renta and Bridal Guide magazine in New York City to my current role as a mom of two and freelance journalist based in Charlotte. I have had the privilege of working with respected brands and publications across the country including Wellstar, Jaipur Living, Hamptons, The Atlantan, Modern Luxury Interiors Atlanta, Raleigh, Chapel Hill and many more. Even though a lot has changed, my lifelong passion for curating words that inform and inspire remains.
